May 12, 2011 Entry 36

I recently saw a news clip of a young girl of seven years old that had cupped ears and one ear was lopped or curled over. Her parents took her to a plastic surgeon who is part of a free surgery for children with abnormalities to correct the ears and pin them back to stop the teasing and bullying she was facing at school. I completely disagree with the parents and the plastic surgeons views, they feel that it will stop the bullying on the child and help her form a self identity. The thing is, it's not going to be self identity anymore, she was changed to make her seem more normal looking, but now, she's just another victim of America's new ideology that everyone has to be perfect. Well, I mean it's not really a new ideology but it's certainly more progressed now. For the parents to think that the bullying will stop because they fixed her ears is utter ludicrous. If anything, the surgery will make it worse. Children are vile and cruel in schools. It's a dog eat dog world. If you aren't getting picked on you're the one that's picking on others usually. Especially in bigger schools. It's very hard to stay invisible. Even if you are invisible you aren't free and clear of being subjected to the cruelties of the world. I think that the parents should have waited a few years before the surgery, who knows, the ears could have been what truly defined her character. Maybe she'll be a totally different person now, maybe, just maybe she'll become the bully.

May 10th, Entry 35

So what's been going on in my life? Well, not a lot of things. It has been quite boring honestly. Collin leaves Sunday... I'm not ready for it...I'm going to bawl my eyes out. I think we're going to take break while he's away, but honestly, I don't feel that I'm going to even try to talk to other guys while he's gone. Collin has made quite the impression on me. Last Saturday at Grand March for prom, when I was holding my niece, my little girl, I love her so much; he had a smile on his face while look down at us. I truly care about him. Much more than I did Brian, which is insane to think about. I like Collin way more than I did Brian in the 11 months we dated in his a single month.
But back to him leaving, I'm excited that he's leaving, I truly am. I'm glad he's doing what he wants to. He was concerned about leaving with a girlfriend, which I understand. He's going to have so much on his mind anyway, which is why I'm completely okay with taking a break while he's at boot camp. I think he still wants to go to Mississippi when he gets back and before school starts next year. Which is another thing, I'm going to be senior. I'm freaked out by that. Just writing about it is making me tear up.

Onto a happier thing, the evening of our last day of school, May 31, Laura, hopefully Paige, and I are going to see Destrophy again. I know, Mrs. Strand, Again? You were right, Laura and I are pretty much groupies for the band, in the best way possible. We go because we love their music. Also because we have tons and tons of friends that are associated with the band. There's Sam, Shawn, Dee, Jason, Natalie, Mark, Sebastian, Tara, Sara, Mary, Ari, Joe, Phil, Bruce, Randi, Erik, Spencer, Seth, Joey, Eric, and more. Like I said, we've made a ton of friends because of the guys of Destrophy. We can't wait to go to the show. This time they're playing with another band we like, Otep, who is a female black metal singer from LA. Interestingly enough, she's gay, and she kind of sounds like a man when she's performing. But we love her. Otep Shamaya. Man, I can't wait. But I guess that's enough for today.

Rakastaa,

Liz

April 7: Entry 34

This fountain thing is getting blown way out of proportion. It's sort of ticking me off. I hate people disagreeing and this is just RIDICULOUS! Anyway, enough about that. Let's go onto a better topic...how about....Mississippi!!

I love Mississippi, I just LOVE it. I can NOT express that enough. But as much as I love it down there, I really want my brother and sister-in-law to move back to Iowa. It sucks not being able to see them more than like three times a year. And now that they have a kid due in June it really sucks that I won't be able to see my nephew that much. It's heartbreaking really.

Onto another subject:
My grandma left this morning for Jamaica. I can't wait until she gets back, but it's nice to have a break from each other. We get on each others nerves easily. She's getting me a shot glass. That will bring me up to about 46 shot glasses in my collection. :D :D

Now let's talk about Collin. He graduated last May from Springville. He's a Marine and he leaves May 15th for boot camp. It sucks, but we're going to work through it. :) I probably will miss him entirely way too much, but that's okay. It'll be good for us. However, we're spending as much time as we can before he leaves.

Different subject? Yesssss! I can't wait to get my new iPod. It shipped yesterday. I'm SO EXCITED!!! <3

I don't know what else to talk about...
I'm running out of ideas.
We can stop anytime now Mrs. Strand....
Anytime...
Collin is coming over tonight. Yay.
A minute left...
with nothing to write about.
Jacob is mean to Rachael.
Rachael smells good.
Olivia is sick....I miss her.
Zach is sitting in front of me...

Time's up!! Yay!! :D :D

March 30, 2011 Entry 33

Alright so I'm going to write about the book I'm reading. It's called "The Long Road Out of Hell"by Marilyn Manson. It's a grotesque and brutally truthful story of his upbringing and descent into the hell he created for himself. It shows his crazy home life when he was a kid. His weird grandfather. *shivers* he creeps me out.
Anyway, what else has happened. Oh! Right now he's on tour with Danzig and he's talking about Tony Wiggins and Twiggy and how crazy those three got. And right before I stopped reading they were about to perform a psychological experiment on these girls in the catacombs underneath of the arena they were playing in. It sounds pretty intense. They're trying to see whether or not they can get the girls to admit their deepest secrets. I'm excited to read it.

And if you want to know anymore about this, well you'll have to read this yourself. ;)

March 24, 2011 Entry 32

Free Write!! :D :D

I really wish it was warmer outside... I hate this cold weather. The worst part is that it's not much warmer inside the school. I have goosebumps up the wahzoo right now and I keep shivering. Anyway...I can't wait until May 15! Eep eep!! I'm so excited for Lazerfest this year! Avenged Sevenfold baby!! And Stone Sour? I mean c'mon! That's freaking amazing! I love those two bands, which, could probably be guessed...You know what would be better than Stone Sour though...??? SLIPKNOT!!! Hell, I've seen them four times already. Guess who else is gonna be there! BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE!!! Oh hell...there's gonna be sexy men everywhere! Woot woot!! Win win win for me! Hopefully Paige and Olivia will be able to go with Laura and I. I went by myself last year, well, my brother and his ex drove me down, but they sat in the grass and I was in the crowd by myself. Which isn't a first, and it definitely won't be the last time, but holy crap, I'm like stoked!! I feel as though I should trough ceremonial salt in the air or something while playing a freaking kazoo. That's how damn excited I am right now.

I remember last years Lazerfest....Halestorm, Dead Horse Trauma, Alice Cooper, Skillet, Rob Zombie, Mindrite, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, it was like...intense! I had such a good time last year, even though I did end up beating the crap out of some guy because he elbowed me in the stomach, thankfully he got kicked out. Woot! Dead Horse Trama just came on my iTunes! Yeah! I'm so hyper right now. I'm trying not to show it. I don't know if you guys can tell or not....I hope not. I feel like jumping up and down, but I can' do that...well I'm not supposed to anyway.. I still do sometimes. But anyway! I got to go!! Talk to ya later, bloggers!

Entry 31 March 10 2011

It was a warm spring day and the prince was walking through the town. Now this man, he wasn't just a prince, he was a pixie prince. His name, Aleksei, fits that he's from the town of Helsinki, Finland. Which, may I add, is known for it's mystical beings. Well anyway, Aleksei was walking through the town to meet up with his newest concubine, Kataari. He has many lovers, but he always seems to need one more, because well, he wears them out, fast. She was a pretty woman, with large blue eyes and long slightly curly deep auburn hair. He leads her home and shows her to her new room leaving subtle hints of how he was going to galvanize her into euphoria as he throws away the counterpane and leaves her sprawled on the bed.

To Be Continued...

March 1, 2011 Entry 29

Free Write:
I'm going to write about some shenanigans of my friends. Well, mostly the Core Group: Shannon Moore, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Gregory Helms, Dave "Kimo" Clutter, and Shatter. The guys in this group all live within 30 minutes of each other in southern North Carolina. Matt, Jeff, and Dave all live in Cameron, Shatter and Greg live in Smithsfield, and Shannon lives in Carthage. I'm really close with Shannon and his wife, and somewhat close with Jeff. The guys in this group have a online show called 'The Hardy Show' and they just do random stunts and pranks. A personal favorite of mine, 'The Troll Bridge' episode from 2006 is incredibly hilarious. It has Shannon and Andrew Wright working camera and audio and Matt Hardy as a troll and Jeff as the billy goat gruff trying to cross the bridge. They act it out and eventually Matt invites Jeff into his 'home' under the bridge and ends up killing him.
